The derby of the Serie A Gameweek 2 is in Bergamo, where Atalanta meets with the reigning champions, AC Milan. Both teams started the season well with a win and would like to keep it that way. This is a local derby between two teams who developed quite the rivalry over the last few years. Everyone remembers a catastrophe Atalanta inflicted upon Rossoneri in late 2019, which was considered to be the turning point for Milan, from which they began going up.

The problem for him is constant injuries, as several of his starters deal with various injuries, among them Zapacosta, Cabezas, the newcomer Demiral and Ederson. Meanwhile, Palomino is suspended due to a failed doping test.

AC Milan

Milan had a good game at home against Udinese in the opening round, winning 4-2. Ante Rebic, with a brace, Theo Hernandez and Brahim Diaz scored for the hosts, who allowed two goals inside the opening 45 minutes.

Though, they regrouped and went out to dominate and seize control over the field in the remaining part of the event. Rossoneri won four straight counting in the preseason games. They ended the preparation period with wins over Marseille, 0-2, Wolfsberger, 0-5, and Vicenza, 1-6. 

Rossoneri had a quiet transfer window. They lost Kessie, Romagnoli, and Florenzi but added one of the biggest Belgian talents, Charles de Ketelaere, who will be a perfect addition to their midfield. Also, Divock Origi is expected to have an impact.
