Prediction, Odds & Betting Tips for Tottenham vs. Manchester United at English Premier League
The contenders for one of the top four places in the Premier League, Tottenham, and Manchester United, clash on Saturday in what appears to be the biggest game of the day. Both teams haven’t met the expectations in the opening round, with the Spurs failing to win against Brentford, while United took all three points but utterly disappointed their fans with the performance versus Wolverhampton.
Tottenham
Ange Postecoglu’s unit played 2-2 with Brentford on the road, experiencing one roller coaster game. The Spurs took the lead, then allowed two goals before leveling in the stoppage time of the first half.
Afterward, nothing happened in the second 45 minutes of the second sequence, and even though their team stayed unbeaten against the Bees, the fans didn’t feel too happy. Harry Kane is gone, and the team lost its biggest star without replacing it with another.
Meanwhile, the defense didn’t show anything worthy of mentioning, and if it continues to play like against the Bees, Postecoglu will have plenty of problems.
Manchester United
The Red Devils are coming into this season with high ambitions. Though, if their displays are like against the Wolves, Erik Ten Hag’s unit won’t stand a chance not to be in the title race, but the top four teams in the league. Yes, United won, 1-0, with Raphael Varane netting a goal, but overall, they disappointed.
We are free to say that the Wolves played better football and that they deserved to win, but the lack of luck was the main reason why boys from Molineux went back home empty-handed.
Ten Hag hasn’t got too much time to fix all the errors. Firstly, he needs to add one typical striker; otherwise, his attack will struggle to deliver. Second, Mason Mount is still searching for himself, and that’s a big issue that needs to be addressed.
Tottenham Hotspur: Vicario; Emerson, Romero, Davies, Udogie; Bissouma, Skipp; Kulusevski, Maddison, Son; Richarlison
Manchester United: Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Eriksen; Antony, Fernandes, Mount; Rashford
United has four wins in the past five events against Tottenham. That most recent game, which was in London, saw a 2-2 draw, and in four prior to that, the Red Devils won. Interestingly, in all these five meetings, United netted at least twice.
Both teams are unstable and shaky. If we were willing to take some risk, Tottenham’s win would be our pick, but in this particular case, we want to minimize the chances of losing money, and that’s the reason to bet on both teams scoring.
Our verdict: Both teams to score
