Prediction, Odds & Betting Tips for Tottenham vs. Liverpool at English Premier League
The game of the round in the English Premier League is the one between Tottenham and Liverpool in London. The two undefeated units in the Premiership and title candidates fight for three points, which would allow them to stay in the race for the top spot and the hunt for the current EPL champions, Man City. Both of these crews play interesting and efficient football, so it’s no wonder that we expect to see an enjoyable event in London.
Tottenham
The Spurs played against Arsenal last Sunday, getting one point from the Emirates following a 2-2 draw. It was a back-and-forth contest in which we saw Postecoglu’s crew successfully competing with the Gunners.
It was also another event in which Tottenham netted at least twice, and right now, they are the only team in the league to do that in every game since the campaign began.
The fans were worried after Harry Kane’s departure, but for the moment, the team looks very good upfront, in some segments of the game, even better than before.
Liverpool
The Reds have six wins in a row and are without a defeat since the start of the campaign. They were better than West Ham in the previous round, 3-1, which was the third consecutive victory for Jurgen Klopp’s crew with that result.
The previous ones were against Wolves and LASK, both on the road, one in the Premiership and the other in the Europa League. It is worth mentioning that in five of the latest six contests this crew played, we’ve seen them scoring three or more hits.
Liverpool’s playstyle is the same as before: high pressure, flamboyant attacks down the flanks, and high intensity.
Tottenham Hotspur: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma; Kulusevski, Maddison, Son; Richarlison
Liverpool: Alisson; Gomez, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Jota
Tottenham is without a win over Liverpool in the past six years and 12 games. The Reds were better on both meetings last season, 1-2 in London and 4-3 at home. It was the sixth straight contest with these two units both netting, and five of those events saw three or more goals.
Goals are in the focus here, because we won’t pick the full-time result. That would be too risky. Instead, both teams scoring and over 2.5 goals is the best possible pick. Tottenham’s offense is magnificent, and Liverpool’s is even more impressive. On the other side, the respective defenses aren’t at the same level, which is why anything but a high-scoring affair here would be surprising.
Our verdict: Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals
