Prediction, Odds & Betting Tips for West Ham vs. Tottenham at English Premier League
This isn’t an ordinary game for either of these units. It is a bitter rivalry between the two local teams that dates back more than a century. On top of that, the current situation in the standings forces the participants to chase three points, West Ham to try to reach the international stage, and Tottenham to capture the fourth spot and the Champions League place next season.
West Ham
The Hammers have been unstable since the year started, and their current position perfectly reflects their performances. We aren’t going to lie to you; more was expected from David Moyes’ unit, and luckily for them, there is enough time to change certain things.
West Ham’s performances have been mediocre, but they’ve improved slightly in recent times. Following a shocking and humiliating defeat against Arsenal, 0-6, which was one of the worst for the Hammers at home in this century, they had two triumphs and ties in front of own fans.
One win was against Brentford, 4-2, and the other vs. Freiburg in the Europa League 5-0. They would play 2-2 against Burnley and 1-1 against Villa.
Tottenham
Just a few expected to see Tottenham losing 3-0 at Craven Cottage against Fulham. Even if there were some who predicted their defeat, we are pretty sure no one saw it this high.
Following two big-time victories, over Crystal Palace 3-1, and Aston Villa on the road, 1-4, this was a huge setback for Ange Postecoglou’s crew, who lost the fourth spot to the Villains but still has chances to jump over the rivals from Birmingham.
When playing away from home, Tottenham’s performances are highly interesting and efficient, with four of the past five contests seeing four or more goals. Overall, eight of the last nine ended with over 2.5 hits.
West Ham: Areola; Coufal, Mavropanos, Zouma, Emerson; Soucek, Phillips; Bowen, Ward-Prowse, Paqueta; Antonio
Tottenham: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Bentancur; Kulusevski, Maddison, Son; Richarlison

The first meeting of the season saw West Ham’s victory on the road, 1-2. It was the fourth time in the last five direct encounters that both teams netted. Romer scored for the hosts, but Bowen and Ward-Prowse flipped the score in the second half.
High efficiency is the trademark for both units, particularly Tottenham. Our pick here would be both teams to score and over 2.5 goals, because of the shaky defenses and very potent attacks. There is a disbalance between these parts of the respective units, with the offenses clearly having more quality.
Our verdict: Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals
