Barcelona vs. PSG Predictions

Two of the biggest UCL title contenders clash this Wednesday in Spain. PSG, the reigning European champions, visit Barcelona, who are, according to many, the top favorite to lift the trophy this season. Both teams didn’t had too much time to recover from this weekend’s games, but that’s the deal when you want to be the best.

Barcelona had one game during the midweek, when they beat Oviedo on the road, 1-3, coming back from behind and showing all of its power in the second half. Robert Lewandowski scored a goal coming off the bench, with the Pole indicating that he’s ready to get back in the starting lineup.

Yamal wasn’t on the field, and we are unsure of his appearance this Wednesday. However, Barca has plenty of good replacements. One more thing to mention. Hansi Flick can no longer count on Gavi, who will be out for a couple of months, but the German already has a solution in place to fill in for his absence.

PSG

The Saints had a busy summer, but are still holding on quite well. PSG did lose in the previous event in Marseille, 1-0, where the hosts kept the lead for more than 80 minutes, but overall, we can’t say they underachieved in that one.

Luis Enrique’s unit had six straight triumphs before this contest, recording four clean sheets during that stretch. Many didn’t notice that the defense did most of the work in the UCL last year, being the pylon of PSG’s epic success.

Ousmane Dembele, the Golden Ball winner, won’t be ready for this event, as he still has problems with a hamstring injury, and is expected to be out for at least a couple of weeks.
