Prediction, Odds & Betting tips for Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Dortmund at Bundesliga
The biggest game in German football is Klassiker when Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund meet. This particular could have massive implications for the title race, with the Bavarians and the Millionaires holding the top two spots in Bundesliga. Dortmund comes to Munich with one point more than better form than Bayern, who switched the manager during the international break. Is that a smart move? We’ll see in the future.
Bayern Munich
The champs are one point behind Borussia, and they decided to make a change in the head coach, without offering a clear reason. Julian Nagelsmann was sacked last Friday, and Thomas Tuchel took over the wheel. The former Dortmund, PSG and Chelsea manager will try to improve Bayern’s game in the upcoming weeks and secure the titles in Bundesliga and the Champions league.
Bayern dropped the previous game, a derby in Leverkusen vs. Bayer, 2-1, which was apparently the final straw that pushed Bayern’s management to make Nagelsmann-Tuchel switch.
The Bavarians haven’t lost in the previous 17 contests at the Allianz Arena and right now ride a four-win streak across all the competitions. During this victorious stretch, Bayern delivered 13 goals, conceding three. On three occasions, we’ve seen them keeping clean sheets.
Borussia Dortmund
Borussia still didn’t lose a single game in the Bundesliga since the restart of the activities. They had ten straight wins across all the competitions before losing to Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League in London, which is the only failure Edin Terzic had after the New Year. After that, Borussia played 2-2 against Schake in the Riverside derby.
The Millionaires’ previous contest was against FC Koln, and we’ve seen them extremely confident. Ahead of more than 80 thousand wild fans, Borussia trashed the Billy Goats 6-1.
Terzic’s crew scored at least twice on five of the past seven road trips, and in general, this squad has superb offensive potential. This will be a test for them, which could show us whether Borussia has enough quality for the title.
Bayern Munich: Sommer; Pavard, Upamecano, De Ligt; Gnabry, Kimmich, Goretzka, Cancelo; Mane, Muller; Choupo-Moting
Borussia Dortmund: Meyer; Wolf, Sule, Schlotterbeck, Guerreiro ; Ozcan, Can, Bellingham; Brandt, Haller, Reus
The first meeting of the season at Signal-Iduna Park ended with a draw, 2-2, after a spectacular 90 minutes of a fierce battle. Before this event, the Bavarians had eight consecutive victories over Borussia; the latest seven were with at least four goals and with both units netting.
This one should be fun to watch, and with plenty of goals involved. The primary pick is over 2.5 goals, and that might be the bet of the weekend. For those who are brave enough, go with four or more scores, and follow the tradition.
Our verdict: Over 2.5 goals
