Lampard’s unit has not won at Stamford Bridge for the past seven events. That is one humiliating fact for the two-time European champs, who lost four of those seven contests. In six of them, the Blues conceded at least twice, which indicates massive problems in the back line.

The team is falling apart in every line, and to be honest, Lampard’s job isn’t easy at all. He was practically given an impossible task upon the arrival and Graham Potter’s sack – to pull the team out of the hole.

Newcastle

The Magpies are in the Champions League, and that’s a massive success. This team didn’t spend much money on players during the previous summer, even though they had unlimited resources. Eddie Howe made a compact unit, very tough, with one of the best defenses in Europe when playing at home.

For the moment, City is the only team in the Premier League that could be in the same sentence as Newcastle regarding defense. Though, as stated, that applies to games at St. James’ Park.

In the previous nine contests away from Newcastle, the Magpies conceded a goal in each. They did win a lot of games during that span, yet the reason wasn’t the defense.
