Prediction, Odds & Betting Tips for Chelsea vs. Wolves at English Premier League
The Blues have a chance of even reaching the second spot in the standings, as they host one of the worst teams in the league, the last-placed Wolves. If the other results turn out well, Maresca’s crew could make a significant step forward and re-enter the title race.

Chelsea
A 0-1 win over Tottenham on the road was huge for the Blues, as it not only boosted the morale but also erased the bitter taste of defeat at home vs. Sunderland, 1-2, 7 days ago. In the meantime, they met Wolves in the EFL Cup and won that game, 3-4, but they needed a triumph in the EPL to regain some morale.
Chelsea is in good form these days, winning 6 of the last 7 games across all competitions, and more importantly, looking solid on the pitch. Their attack has been rather efficient as it delivers constantly, but the defense is kinda problematic.
You should be aware that the Blues have recorded just three clean sheets in their previous 10 matches. It clearly shows that the defense struggles, yet Maresca has no solution for the moment.
Wolves
The team from Molineux is the top favorite to be relegated from the EPL. They simply have no quality to survive in the top tier of English football, at least for the moment. All the recent results prove that.
In the last 10 games, the Wolves have won just one, which was in the EFL Cup, and have drawn two ties and suffered seven losses, four of which have occurred consecutively in recent matches. To make it even worse, their defense is terrible, allowing at least two goals in all those recent successive losses.
The goal difference throughout these four rounds is 6-12. Therefore, its no wonder seeing them stuck at the bottom of the standings with just two points in 10 rounds and 22 conceded goals.
Chelsea: Sanchez; James, Fofana, Chalobah, Cucurella; Fernandez, Caicedo; Neto, Santos, Garnacho; Pedro
Wolves: Johnstone; Toti, S. Bueno, Krejci, H. Bueno; Munetsi, Andre, J. Gomes; Arias, Strand Larsen, Hwang
As stated, the two sides met this Wednesday in the EFL Cup and the Blues won on the road, 3-4. Last year, Chelsea won in both games, 3-1 at home and 2-6 on the road.
We don’t see a way for the Wolves to avoid a defeat here. They are coming to Stamford, where Chelsea plays efficient and stable football, whilst Wolverhampton experiences a huge crisis in the back line. That’s why we bet on the hosts to win and cover a 1.5-goal handicap.
Our verdict: Chelsea -1.5
