Prediction, Odds & Betting tips for DC United vs. Inter Miami at MLS
Both DC United and Inter Miami had respective matches this Wednesday, and they might face some fatigue due to a harsh schedule. However, that won’t be an alibi for poor results because fans on both sides are fed up with such explanations. Neither of the teams lost their respective events, DC was better than Dallas on the road, while Inter played 2-2 against Columbus in Miami.
DC United
Washington went against all the odds to beat Dallas at Toyota Park. They got away with a minimal victory, 0-1, and three points which are worth gold in the playoff race. For the moment, DC is three points away from the direct playoff place and holds the position in the play-in area.
Fountas scored the game’s only goal, with the note that Dallas didn’t deserve to lose and that the game could easily go the other way. It was the second victory for DC in the past three events. The first was at home against FC Cincinnati, 3-0, and in between, a loss to Nashville, 2-0.
DC’s games at home are usually efficient, five of the previous seven ended with at least three goals. Also, the team has been solid at home recently, having one loss in the past six appearances with three wins and two ties.
Inter Miami
Inter stopped a losing streak, posting back-to-back ties at home, against Austin, 1-1, and the Columbus Crew, 2-2. However, this team is still without a victory for the past four contests, which is why they sit last in the Easter Conference.
They have only 17 points in 20 games, with the third-worst attack (20 goals scored) and one of the worst defenses (31 conceded). In 20 games, Inter won only five, having 13 defeats and the last two ties are the only ones they recorded this year.
The past five MLS contests they had ended with both teams netting. Four were with at least three goals, and we can say Inter plays efficient football.
DC United: Miller; Hines-Ike, Williams, Pines; Najar, Durkin, O’Brien, Santos; Dajome, Benteke, Klich
Inter Miami: Callender; Taylor, Kryvtsov, Fray, Allen; Ruiz, Arroyo; Cremaschi, Pizarro, Robinson; Martinez
Inter hosted DC in early June, and the team from the US capital won all three points in Florida, triumphing 1-2. Pines and Benteke scored the goals for the guests, while Fray added one event for the hosts.
DC is slowly improving and these recent two wins are a big boost for them. Also, United performs solid at their Audi Field, so their win here is highly realistic.
Our verdict: DC United wins
