The last time Everton won in the Premiership was in mid-December, beating Burnley on the road 0-2. After that, the Toffees had a cold stretch of six games in a row without a victory, losing four straight before back-to-back draws. For a moment, we saw them bouncing back in the FA Cup, 1-0 against Palace, but that didn’t last long.

Immediately in the next round, the Toffees lost to Luton at home, 1-2. Their results at Goodison are worrying, with Everton winning only one of the past five events, losing three of those meetings, and posting one tie.

The Spurs are not stopping, and even though they had plenty of problems at one point, Ange Postecoglu’s unit was tough enough to overcome all of them and get back in the saddle. Sure, they don’t have Son, but they managed just fine without him.

Losing narrowly to Manchester City, 0-1, isn’t a failure because Tottenham played well. Yes, they did lose a chance to win one trophy, but in these circumstances, that might be beneficial at some point.

Tottenham’s games on the road are efficient, with five in the last six seeing both teams to score and over 2.5 hits. On all but one, the Spurs netted at least twice, showing its offensive prowess.
