A brief and precise preview and analysis of the 2022 Qatar World Cup group stage, with predictions and other information included.
The 2022 World Cup in Qatar starts shortly, and we want to present all eight groups with a brief summary of each one and the teams in it. Stay tuned and see our preview.
The Netherlands is the most sounding name in this assembly, and Oranje should win first place in front of Senegal, Ecuador, and the hosts, Qatar. The Dutch unit has by far the best team, filled with superstars like Virgil Van Dijk and Memphis Depay.
Sadio Mane and his Senegal should beat Ecuador in the race for the second spot, while the home team, Qatar, will be happy to score a goal or two, let alone win a point. Per all the relevant betting sites and their odds, the hosts won’t have a single point.
The Atlantic teams, plus Iran. Things will be fiery here as the USA, England, and Wales attack the top spot. Iran might not have the quality to challenge them, but still, they could snap a point and spoil someone’s calculation.
Three Lions should be first, even though they play awful football lately, Wales looks better than the US team, and the Dragons seem to have the edge over the Yanks in the race for the knockout stage, while Iran stays at the bottom of the group. The US team has played poorly over the past two months, which is why Wales got the advantage in our books, regardless of what top online bookmakers think.
The Argentinians are one of the top contenders for winning the World Cup, and anything but them taking first place in Group C would be a surprise. Mexico and Poland will battle for the second spot, and right now, we think the Mexicans have better prospects of reaching that position, despite Lewandowski’s presence on the other end.
Poland isn’t as formidable as Mexico in terms of team play, and that’s why we don’t think they can beat the Sombreros. Of course, Saudi Arabia has the slightest chance to make any success, and the fourth place is reserved for them.
A very rigid assembly, with two European sides, who should win the top two places. Here we have the World champs, France, starting its quest for another trophy, a very good and experienced team of Denmark, the African powerhouse, Tunisia, and Australia.
France and Denmark are the favorites to progress to the knockout stage, while Tunisia hopes to make some sort of a surprise and remove one of these two national selections from the top two places. Australia has a modest team right now, and this generation of players is nowhere near the previous ones led by Cahill and the company.
More or less, the situation here is the same as in the previous case. Spain, Germany, Costa Rica, and Japan are in Group E, and logically, the two former World Cup champions are favorites to advance to the round of 16.
Japan and Costa Rica will probably decide who will take the third spot. Even though Die Mannschaft isn’t playing at the expected level, we don’t think they can suffer consecutive group-stage eliminations.
One of the most exciting assemblies in the tournament. We have Belgium, Croatia, Morocco, and Canada involved here, and to be honest, it wouldn’t be odd to see any of them in the knockout stage.
Though, we think the Devils have the best chances to finish among the top two places, while either Croatia or Canada comes second with leveled quality. Even though the Croats have more sounding names, Canada has been playing superbly, and we tend to lean toward their side here. Morocco also has talented players, and watching all these teams compete will be a pleasure.
For many, the toughest group of all in Qatar. The top contender is Brazil, two European powerhouses, Serbia and Switzerland, and the African titans, Cameroon. Apart from Cameroon, the remaining three selections met in Russia, also in the group stage.
Back then, Brazil was first, while Switzerland finished second. This time, we think that the Selecao will also secure the top spot but that the Serbs will outlast the Swiss unit and Cameroon in the race for the second spot. They have a few players in outstanding form, unlike the other two rivals. Top online sportsbooks believe that Mitrovic could enter the Golden Boot race.
Cristiano Ronaldo and his Portugal will have a tough time in Qatar. Their rivals are Ghana, Uruguay, and South Korea, very nasty opponents who aren’t playing flashy football but rather use tactics and discipline to win games.
Portugal is the best team here, while Uruguay comes right after. South Korea and Ghana could hope to make a sensation, with the note that the Korean side has better chances for that.

For many, that would be Group F, with Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, and Cameroon involved. Apart from Brazil, all the teams have pretty much equal chances to reach the knockout stage.
