Prediction, Odds & Betting Tips for Inter vs. AC Milan at Serie A
Derby della Madonnina is one of the most popular in the world. There aren’t too many games like the one in Milan when Nerazzurri and Rossoneri meet. Both sides come into this matchup with three wins in a row, being perfect in the Serie A so far. And both of them want to win. From what we saw, they have legit hopes of hoping to dethrone Napoli, though the season is still young for some definite claims.
Inter Milano
Many thought that without Dzeko and Lukaku in the attack, Inter’s efficiency would drop. Yet last season’s Champions League runners-up scored ten times in three opening Serie A events. They beat Monza at home 2-0, then Cagliari on the road with the same result, before tarnishing Fiorentina at home, 4-0.
Marcus Thuram and Lautaro are doing a great job upfront, clicking right away and starting to contribute. Of course, the midfield is also playing well, setting up nice chances for the duo.
What we have to say is that Inter’s defense is holding all the keys to success despite the very strong start of the forwards and other lines. Three games and three clean sheets that simply have to be acknowledged.
AC Milan
Christian Pulisic revolutionized AC Milan. Yes, Rossoneri had brief periods of fantastic football last season, but what we saw from them in the past 270 minutes is superb, and regardless of the various opinions, it’s all because of Pulisic.
The American accelerated the midfield, changing the rhythm of the entire team. His immense talent is known worldwide, and we just hope to see him stay healthy, because Milan plays outstanding football with him in charge.
Rossoneri’s campaign began in Bologna, where they defeated the hosts 0-2. The second victim was Torino, who was defeated at San Siro, 4-1 and the most recent victory was over Roma at Olimpico, 1-2.
Inter Milano: Sommer; Darmian, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Thuram, Martinez
AC Milan: Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Kjaer, Hernandez; Loftus-Cheek, Rade Krunic, Reijnders; Pulisic, Giroud, Leao.
Inter and Milan met five times in the previous season, once in the Super Cup, when Inter smashed the rivals, 3-0, twice in the Serie A, 3-2 for Milan, and 1-0 for Inter, and twice in the UEFA Champions League semis, 2-0 and 1-0 for Inter.
We expect plenty of goals on both ends, as these two units prefer to play open and very aggressive football. Inter’s defense is strong, we saw that, but Milan’s attack is ruthless as well. Our final pick here is both teams to score.
Our verdict: Both teams to score
