His CV is incredible and includes triumphs over Brad Tavares, Derek Brunson, Anderson Silva, and Kelvin Gastelum, plus two triumphs over Vettori and Whittaker, whom he took over the belt.

He was at first heavyweight, then a light heavyweight, before becoming a middleweight fighter. And since he got down to this division, things have become great for the American. He is 5-1 and the No.2 in the rankings, eventually earning him a title shot.

The only loss came against Robert Whittaker at the UFC 254. He would previously defeat David Branch, Anderson Silva, and Jack Hermansson. After that, he bounced back against Gastelum and in the latest bout vs. Derek Brunson, where he happened to be on the verge of a defeat but came back to knock out Derek Brunson.

Cannonier is, without a doubt, the hardest puncher in the division, and he has the ability to KO the rival from one single hit. That is why he is so dangerous. Also, he isn’t a particularly good wrestler, and we saw that against Brunson, but on the other side, his physic is very nasty, as he is a pile of muscles which makes him very tough to beat on the ground.
