Prediction, Odds & Betting tips for Leicester City vs. Everton at EPL
It’s be or not to be for either of these units. Their situation in the standings is critical, and these two sides are direct rivals in the relegation battle, which has been one of the most interesting over the past few years. The margin for error is very small, and one reckless move, one tiny detail, could send either of these two units to the Championship.
Leicester City
That win over Wolverhampton the previous weekend was a blessing for the Foxes, who finally stopped a negative streak that saw them not triumphing in ten straight events, losing nine of them.
For Dean Smith and the boys, it was a massive relief, even though it didn’t mean anything to improve Leicester’s position in the relegation battle. This crew likes to play open football, even if that costs them in the end.
Leicester opened the season poorly, hammered by injuries and Wesley Fofana’s forceful departure, and this is the root of all the problems. Four of their past five events at home have been with three or more goals and with both teams netting.
Everton
The Toffees have one win, four draws and two losses in the past seven games. Sean Dyche’s football is probably the worst in the league in terms of aesthetics, but that’s been his signature over the years.
He is trying to save the season with limited quality and resources, and we need to add that he has somewhat improved Everton since coming to Goodison Park. It’s still not enough to see them outside the red zone, but there is a certain step forward.
Over the past 11 road trips, Everton allowed at least two goals in nine of them, often failing to reach the rival’s net.
Leicester City: Iversen; Castagne, Evans, Faes, Kristiansen; Dewsbury-Hall, Ndidi, Tielemans; Barnes, Vardy, Maddison
Everton: Pickford; Patterson, Keane, Tarkowski, Mykolenko; Gray, Onana, Iwobi, Gueye, McNeil; Simms
Leicester triumphed at Goodison back in early November, 0-2. It was the first win for the Foxes over this team since 2019. Interestingly, seven of the past eight English Premier League contests between these two clubs saw a moderate efficiency, meaning 2 or 3 goals.
The home team knows this might be their last chance to catch the positive rhythm and head toward safety. Yes, Everton has its motives as well, but the Toffees are terrible on the road, and that’s something Leicester needs to utilize, and that’s why we go with the Foxes.
Our verdict: Leicester wins
