Prediction, Odds & Betting Tips for Liverpool vs. Nottingham Forest at English Premier League
The Reds are flying high on confidence these days, having a perfect start to the season and playing superbly under Arne Slot. Meanwhile, Forest is unbeaten as well, but the former European champs haven’t won all of their matches. They haven’t got any pressure at Anfield and are hoping to reach at least a point that would be a major success for the unit from Nottingham.
Liverpool
Three games, three wins, three clean sheets with eight scored goals. That’s Liverpool’s record with Arne Slot so far. The Dutch manager now needs to keep on with such a pace, otherwise, nobody will remember his opening.
What especially glandens the Reds’ fans is a 0-3 win on the road against Manchester United. Despite getting used to beating the Red Devils at Anfield, each new triumph there is a special treat for all the fans. And the board as well.
Just to remind, before beating United, Liverpool opened the EPL campaign with a win over Ipswich on the road, 0-2, then routinely beat Brentford at home with the same result. Slot didn’t change Klopp’s tactics and strategy too much.
Nottingham Forest
The only loss Forest had this year was against Newcastle in the EFL Cup’s Round of 64. But to be honest, we don’t believe that the two-time European champions had any ambitions in this competition.
Meanwhile, they are undefeated in the Premier League, having two ties and one triumph. The first game was at home against Bournemouth, 1-1, then they went to St. Mary’s to defeat the newcomers, Southampton, 0-1, before failing to win at home once again. This time the rivals were Wolves, and the final result of this event was 1-1.
Nottingham had a solid transfer window, but they still haven’t improved their defense, and counting in the preseason, there weren’t too many matches in which this unit kept clean sheets. The good side is that the offense always delivers and covers up the defensive mess.
Nottingham Forest: Sels; Williams, Milenkovic, Murillo, Moreno; Anderson, Sangare; Elanga, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood
Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Jota
Liverpool was better than Nottingham both times last year, winning 3-0 at Anfield and 0-1 on the road.
The Reds are absolute favorites here, and even though there was a two-week international break, we are sure that Arne Slot’s unit won’t slow down or anything. Forest has our respect, but here, they simply have nothing to hope for, particularly with the Reds playing at Anfield.
Our verdict: Liverpool wins
