Prediction, Odds & Betting tips for Manchester United vs. Wolverhampton at English Premier League
The alarm is on at Trafford, with United losing its edge over Liverpool and falling into a very tough situation. With only a few weeks of football ahead in the English Premier League, the Red Devils have only one point more than Liverpool and a game in hand. A few rounds ago, United had a nice advantage over the Reds, and it seemed that Ten Hag’s unit would easily secure the Champions League place. Wolves began moving up in recent weeks, and are no longer in the relegation battle. Though, their results away from home are terrible.
Manchester United
Back-to-back losses have put pressure on United, who now doesn’t have room for mistakes. One more could put them behind Liverpool, which would be a disaster.
Manchester couldn’t win in three of the previous four Premier League games, and making it worse, they went scoreless in the past 180 minutes against Brighton and West Ham. Both events were on the road, but that can’t and won’t be an alibi for United’s poor performances.
Opposite to games on the road, Manchester United has been invincible at home this year and currently rides a streak of 25 consecutive events without losing in front of own crowd.
Wolverhampton
The Wolves subsequently posted wins and losses in the latest five contests, winning at home while recording poor results away from Molineux. But even that would probably be enough for this unit, who ran away from the red zone.
The inconsistency is the main problem for Wolverhampton, and this is probably the worst campaign since promotion. There aren’t enough world-class players in their roster as before, but according to the owners, that will change this summer.
Wolves have just one win in the recent ten outings, and that happened way back in February. Since then, we’ve seen them losing four times and posting two draws. The most recent defeat was in Brighton, humiliating 6-0.
Manchester United: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Shaw, Dalot; Fernandes, Casemiro, Eriksen; Antony, Rashford, Sancho
Wolverhampton Wanderers: Sa; Jonny, Dawson, Kilman, Bueno; Hwang, Neves, Lemina, Sarabia; Cunha, Costa
United minimally won the previous clash against the Wolves, which took place on New Year’s Eve. Though, the most recent event at Old Trafford saw the Wolves triumphing, with the same result, 0-1.
Their meetings could be more efficient, and seven of the last nine had under 2.5 goals.
This is the best possible chance for the Red Devils to win and snap the negative streak. Wolves are very bad on the road, and United seems ruthless at home, so the hosts’ win shouldn’t be questioned.
Our verdict: Manchester United wins
