Phoenix Suns vs. Denver Nuggets Predictions

Prediction, Odds & Betting tips for Phoenix Suns vs. Denver Nuggets at NBA

  • Where: Footprint Arena, Phoenix, Arizona
  • When: Thursday, May 11, 10 pm ET

The Suns and the Nuggets meet in Game 6 of the West Conference semis, with the current result in the series being 3-2 for Denver. Nikola Jokic is doing everything to push his team to success, but the two-time NBA MVP constantly lacks the support of his teammates. On the other side, the Suns are without Chris Paul, so Kevin Durant and Devin Booker have to do everything on their own, which turns out to be problematic for the moment.

Phoenix Suns vs. Denver Nuggets Preview

Phoenix Suns

Chris Paul’s absence took a toll on the Suns’ game, especially on the road, where they haven’t been able to be competitive with the Nuggets in each of their second halves. Even though Phoenix won twice at home, those triumphs came due to Denver’s poor responses and some controversial officiating.

The most recent loss to Denver was 118-102, and the Suns showed signs of frustration as Kevin Durant pushed Jokic, earning a tech. Phoenix allowed 39 points in the third quarter while scoring only 25.

Only three players with double-digit figures in scoring columns, Durant 26, Booker 28, and Ayton with 14, is the main reason why the team lost. This time there was no help coming from the bench, who delivered 26 points in total.

Denver Nuggets

Nikola Jokic is doing wonders, and he already broke numerous records, putting his name next to Oscar Robertson’s or Wilt Chamberlain’s. The Serb had another triple-double in the playoffs, only this time, he didn’t score 53 buckets like in Game 4.

The Joker had 29 points, 13 boards and 12 assists, hitting 12 of his 20 shots. Though, if he didn’t have Bruce Brown, things would be much more challenging for the Nuggets, with the forward coming off the bench and delivering 25 points.

Michael Porter Jr and Jamal Murray both had 19 each, and we again need to say that these two play beneath the expected level, particularly Murray, who struggles on both ends of the court.

Phoenix Suns vs. Denver Nuggets Head to Head

The result in the seasonal series was 2-2, and right now, in the playoffs is 3-2 for Denver. There weren’t any wins on the road throughout the entire season, and for the moment, it appears that the home-court edge plays the crucial difference.

Phoenix Suns vs. Denver Nuggets Predictions

We saw the Suns winning closely at the Footprint Center twice in this series, but the situation is different now, as they now feel the heat and are pressed with their backs against the wall. Denver has the momentum after Game 5, and the Nuggets were much more competitive on the road than the Suns, so we expect them to win this one.
