Los Blancos are the best team in Europe. Just a few saw Real on top of the UEFA Champions League last year. Yet, Carlo Ancelotti’s unit fought its way towards the trophy fair and square, having the toughest possible path to the title. One by one, PSG, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool fell ahead of this unit.

Real played three friendly games this summer, all of them in the United States. The first was a loss against Real Madrid, 0-1 in one very fiery contest. The UCL champs then faced Club America, and that game ended 2-2, before defeating Juventus in the last test, 2-0.

Like always, we expect to see Ancelotti taking a cautious approach and not rushing to score straight away. Instead, Vinicius and the boys will wait for a chance to strike from the counter-attack or simply look for Benzema, who would use his individual quality to create problems.

Eintracht Frankfurt

The Eagles had a very unpleasant intro to this event. They were smashed at home in the Bundesliga opener against the champions, Bayern Munich, who rushed through Frankfurt, winning 1-6. It was one-sided domination of the guests, and Oliver Glasner now needs to erase this failure from his team’s memory as soon as possible.

Eintracht played four preseason games, winning three and posting one draw. They would allow only one goal, but as we saw against Bayern, the defensive line fell apart, showing many flaws.

The management wasn’t very active during the transfer window, and we didn’t see some big-time players coming to Frankfurt. On the other hand, a few of their players could leave until the transfer deadline.
