After that, Portugal played 1-1 against the Netherlands, and in the final game of the round, which decided who advances to the knockout stage, Selecao was better than Belgium, 2-1. They scored the game-winner in the 89th minute. 

A very interesting piece of data is that the Portuguese unit couldn’t keep a clean sheet during the tournament. For players of their caliber, that is a big underachievement.
