Our overview for the boxing spectacle of Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte, with the pick and odds involved. Enjoy the predictions and tips we have included.
Tyson Fury is done waiting for his opponent for the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. The big fella has decided to move on from any speculations regarding the fight with either Usyk or Joshua, picking Dillian Whyte for his next rival. This will be the battle for the WBC and the Ring heavyweight titles. Whyte is also from England, and even though he had notable results throughout his career, he was never in the combination for meeting with Fury.
Tyson Fury
The Gypsy King, as Fury calls himself, is arguably the best heavyweight in the world. His record is 31 wins with only one draw, without being even close to a defeat. That one draw was against Deontay Wilder in their first bout, but for some, the American had a little push from the scoring judges back then. He would quickly convince everyone that he is better than the Bronze Bomber, knocking him out twice in the next two events.
Fury is pretty much a complete boxer. He has the power, technique, and unreal speed inside the ring. With six foot and nine inches, he moves around the ring incredibly quickly, dodging the rivals’ hits without blinking an eye.
On top of that, his reflexes are super-fast for such a lengthy guy, which gives him a big edge over other fighters in the division. Also, Fury’s tactical knowledge is maybe the biggest in the entire division, as he has an answer to any situation in the ring regardless of the situation.
Dillian Whyte
The 33-year old born in Jamaica, but who appears under the British flag, suffered two defeats so far, one to Anthony Joshua and the other to Alexander Povetkin got this opportunity right out of nowhere. He is the WBC interim champion and Fury’s mandatory challenger, but nobody saw him in the mix due to all other big names in the division.
Whyte is a powerful puncher, who likes to hurt the rival’s body, and that is how he got the nickname in the first place – the Body Snatcher. Once a major prospect didn’t reach the predicted heights. The loss to Joshua apparently had a massive impact on his career, slowing him down.
He did post several big wins so far, taking down a few very good fighters, but the bout against Fury will be undoubtedly the biggest in his career. Whyte is a guy who often overexposes himself, but he compensates that with enormous punching power.
Without any doubt, we say that Fury has more skills than Whyte and that in almost every aspect of boxing, he is a better fighter. Also, the champ’s reach will be a massive problem for Whyte whose biggest weapon is the jab. There shouldn’t be too much trouble for Fury, who endured Wilder’s power punches successfully, therefore, our prediction here is his KO win.
Our verdict: Fury KO
