Prediction, Odds & Betting tips for Leicester vs. Arsenal at Premier League
The last time Arsenal had a chance to win the title, Leicester was ahead of them. In order to keep themselves ahead of the reigning champions, Manchester City, the Gunners need to take all three points. The Foxes are also under pressure to win, with them sitting only four points above the relegation zone, which isn’t comfortable at all.
Leicester
The Foxes lost in Manchester on Sunday night, which was the first defeat following three victories and one draw before that. However, we can’t say Leicester had some bright prospect of avoiding such an outcome against the fired-up United and Rashford.
Four of the previous five games Brendan Rodgers’ unit played were with three or more goals, and three of them saw four or more hits. Things aren’t bright when Leicester plays at Kings Power because the Foxes won just once in the past five contests.
For the moment, Leicester is the second-worst host, having only 12 points in 11 events at Kings Power. Their goal difference is 15-13, winning three contests, recording three draws and five losses.
Arsenal
The Gunners got a gift from the heavens last week. After winning against Aston Villa in Birmingham 2-4, following an incredible finish in which they scored twice inside the stoppage time, Arsenal pulled away again from Man City. The champs played 1-1 in Nottingham, thus allowing the Gunners to take the top spot.
After four games without a triumph, the Gunners finally recorded a victory. This is a big boost for Arsenal, who did look a bit shaky over the past three weeks.
Their defense has been more than unreliable lately, allowing at least one goal in the previous six contests. The back line was the strongest part of this crew in the first half of the campaign, but as time went by, it deteriorated.
Leicester City: Ward; Castagne, Souttar, Faes, Kristiansen; Mendy, Dewsbury-Hall, Maddison; Tete, Iheanacho, Barnes
Arsenal: Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Xhaka, Jorginho; Saka, Odegaard, Trossard; Nketiah
The season’s first meeting was at the Emirates, and Arsenal posted a 4-2 victory. The Gunners have won the past four direct encounters against the Foxes, scoring at least twice in each of those events.
Goals are our focus here, because both Leicester and Arsenal have played high-efficient games lately. Leicester has a much better attack than its defense, and they should provide at least one score on Saturday, while on the other hand, Arsenal’s attack is several levels above the Foxes’ back line. That is why both teams scoring here is a perfect choice.
Our verdict: Both teams to score
