Prediction, Odds & Betting Tips for Andorra vs. England at World Cup Qualifiers
The English continues its World Cup qualifiers against Andora on the road at a neutral venue. Andorra will play this event in Spain, but even if that isn’t the case, the Three Lions would still be a massive favorite to win this one.
Andorra
This is a very modest team that is on the margin of football in Europe. We don’t mean to disrespect Andorra, but overall, they have always been used as a perfect rival for improving the goal difference.
Apart from beating San Marino in a friendly international 2-0 and snapping a point on the road against Malta 0-0, they lost all other eight meetings. And to make it even worse, those two goals against San Marino were the only ones scored during this stretch.
The previous victory was over Liechtenstein in 2022, when they triumphed on the road, 0-2. It was the UEFA Nations League. All this tells enough about their power.
England
The Three Lions got off to a strong start in their World Cup qualifiers, beating Albania and Latvia. Both of these games were at Wembley, and the first triumph was over the Albanians, 2-0, while the second saw them beat Latvia, 3-0.
England has five consecutive victories, allowing just one goal during this stretch. The approach on the field is going to be very tight and defensive-minded because Thomas Tuchel prefers it, and England has a good team that suits such a philosophy.
Pretty much all the players are ready and healthy, but we expect to see the Albion in the mixed lineup because this rival can’t make any trouble.
Andorra: Alvarez; Borra, Nicolas, Garcia, Olivera, Garcia; Fernandez, Teixeira, Pujol, Cervos; Rosas
England: Henderson; Alexander-Arnold, Burn, Colwill, James; Rice, Bellingham, Palmer, Gallagher; Madueke, Toney
The last time these two teams met was in the previous World Cup qualifiers. It was in 2021 when England won 4-0 at home and 0-5 on the road. Previously, they had clashed in the 2008 World Cup qualifications, with England winning 6-0 at Wembley and 0-2 on the road.
Andorra really has nothing to hope for here. And this is with all due respect for their players and staff. England will win this one by at least a three-goal margin because the players who start (and we don’t expect to see the top stars) would want to leave a good impression and earn credit for future matches in the national team. Therefore, our pick would be to see the Three Lions rolling over the Andorran unit.
Our verdict: England -2.5
