Prediction, Odds & Betting Tips for Manchester City vs. Liverpool at English Premier League
The Citizens won’t leave Manchester for at least one week. This will be the third straight game for them to play at the Etihad, and may we say that it’s the biggest of the entire stretch. Liverpool, the reigning champion, arrives in town, struggling to gain consistency and find a proper rhythm. A win here is a must, otherwise, Arsenal might pull away even further in the standings.

Manchester City
The Citizens met with Dortmund at home this Wednesday, giving them enough time to rest and regenerate ahead of Sunday’s event. Apart from losing 0-2 against Tottenham in the first game in front of their own crowd, the Citizens won all the subsequent EPL events there.
And to make it even more confident, their triumphs were with at least two goals scored. Overall, Man City’s goal difference at the Etihad is 13-4, which is the most scored goals at home in the league.
Erling Haaland is back in his beast mode, having 13 goals in 10 rounds, and has more than twice as many as the next name on the list (Semenyo with 6).
Liverpool
As stated, Arne Slot did double the damage this summer. First, he broke the chemistry with transfers, and secondly, those signings were not only wrong, yet incredibly expensive. And here are the consequences. We understood why he took Kerkez and Wirtz, yet Isaak is an enigma.
Over the last eight matches across all competitions, Liverpool has recorded just two wins and six losses. The most recent event against Aston Villa this Saturday, in which they’ve won 2-0. This was the first clean sheet for the Reds since the middle of September.
By the way, in the past 5 away games, Liverpool has one win and four defeats, with all but one game, the one in Istanbul vs. Galata, where they lost 1-0, including at least three goals and both teams netting.
Manchester City: Donnarumma; Nunes, Stones, Dias, Ait-Nouri; Gonzalez; Savinho, Reijnders, Foden, Doku; Haaland
Liverpool: Mamardashvili; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Ekitike
There were two games between these teams last season. In both of them, Liverpool triumphed, having no problems. The result was the same, 2-0. Interestingly, the recent four matches all ended with under 2.5 hits.
Both teams play efficient football; only City’s recent results are way better than Liverpool’s. We were considering recent forms and were pretty close to betting on City’s win, but just in case something unusual happens, we decided to go with over 1.5 goals in the second half. Both teams score plenty of goals in the second 45 minutes, and given that they have enormous offensive potential, we expect to see action in the latter half.
Our verdict: Over 1.5 goals second HT
