Arsenal vs. Manchester United Predictions

The two English Premier League greats, Arsenal and Manchester United, clash at the MetLife Stadium this weekend on their tour throughout the United States. The Gunners had a good campaign in the Premiership last season, but in the most important moments of the same, they would slow down and allow Man City to win the title. United barely reached the UEFA Champions League, once again finishing the title race too early. Their fans hope to witness a better season.

The Gunners already had two friendly games against Watford and Nurnberg, and they both ended 1-1. They haven’t been playing with the strongest lineup in any of these couple of events, and are expected to have all the recent signings against United. 

Declan Rice is here, and for many, he has been the missing piece in the championship puzzle. Along with him, Kai Havertz arrived to increase the options in the attack, while Jurrien Timber landed from Ajax to add more depth and flair to the defense. 

Arsenal’s football philosophy is very offensive-minded. Mikel Arteta wants his guys to push the ball forward whenever possible, or at least push the rivals onto their midfield and control the rhythm. 

Manchester United

The Red Devils and Erik Ten Hag at least got one trophy last season, but in the end, they would barely save the season with a top-four place in the EPL, and an UEFA Champions League ticket. United has been out of title talks for so long, and the fans have already started giving up on them. 

Mason Mount is the only player who signed for the Red Devils this summer, while on the other side, David de Gea left. Ten Hag apparently wants to completely change the look of his unit compared to the one prior to his arrival. 

We are still waiting to see how Mount adapts to his new environment because it won’t be easy to pair himself with Bruno and the others.
