Prediction, Odds & Betting tips for Brazil vs. South Korea | Group Stage, World Cup Qatar 2022
The Brazilian team confidently advanced to the knockout stage, where they met South Korea. Not so long ago, these two units clashed in a friendly game, which saw Selecao humiliating the Koreans and displaying their full power. Yet, playing at the World Cup is something completely different and not the same thing. The Koreans have been more or less constant in Qatar, and as a reward, they got here.
Brazil
Losing to Cameroon in the last round, 1-0, didn’t hurt Selecao too much, because they had a better goal difference than Switzerland. The defeat wasn’t deserved as Brazil smashed Cameroon, who was saved by their goalkeeper in at least four different situations.
Neymar is coming back and is recovered from his injury against Serbia, which is a great boost. Tite didn’t have any problems with injuries at this championship, and he can count on his whole unit to be ready.
We don’t need to say too much about how Brazil plays, and what is their main weapon or strength. Simply, they are the most complete team in the World Cup so far, with world-class players in all the lines. Also, they are very well-balanced. Of course, their difference-makers are all upfront, scoring goals and providing clear chances to other teammates.
South Korea
Now, we need to say that we suspect that Portugal deliberately allowed South Korea to win in the first minute of the injury time, thus eliminating Uruguay from the World Cup. For all of you who forgot, Uruguayans beat Portugal in the round of 16 at the last World Cup.
But still, Korea won here, and with a draw against Uruguay, 0-0, and losing to Ghana, 2-3, they went through to the next stage. Son and the guys didn’t deserve to lose to Ghana, that’s something we need to say as well, yet all that leveled in the end.
This team is very good at counter-attack, and they have Son, who pushes the transition and often creates chances. They aren’t very gifted in the midfield but are aggressive and stubborn.
Brazil: Alisson; Danilo, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Sandro; Casemiro, Paqueta; Raphinha, Neymar, Vinicius Jr; Richarlison
South Korea: Seung-gyu; Moon-hwan, Min-jae, Young-gwon, Jin-su; Woo-young, In-beom; Chang-hoon, Woo-yeong, Heung-min; Gue-sung
This June, Brazil was in South Korea, where they met with the hosts. We’ve seen Selecao smashing the rivals, 5-1. Neymar scored two goals, both from the penalties, while Jesus, Coutinho, and Richarlison added one more.
We want to explain too much about why we are siding with Brazil in this case. Simply they are a better team and have already shown a few months back.
Our verdict: Brazil wins
