Prediction, Odds & Betting Tips for Chelsea vs. Arsenal at English Premier League
The Blues had a tough stretch, but overall, they played good football. Enzo Maresca and his team created some chemistry and have good potential. Arsenal is a title contender, and as such, he goes to win every match. There won’t be any difference this time.
Chelsea
The Blues played 1-1 against Manchester United on the road in an interesting match that could have gone either way. Overall, Chelsea has evolved into an offensive-minded machine since the beginning of the year, and the better part of the unit is the attack.
Cole Palmer, Jackson, Madueke—all these guys terrorize the rivals’ defenders. However, the Blues’ performances contain plenty of glitches, and they must be ready to erase them all.
Chelsea hasn’t lost for the last seven straight events at home, and in all but two of those, both teams scored. In the same number of games, the Blues couldn’t score two or more times.
Arsenal
The Gunners are losing the pace in the EPL, having posted their third game in a row without a victory. After a loss in Bournemouth, 2-0, there was a tie at home vs. Liverpool, 2-2, and the most recent failure in Newcastle, 1-0.
Overall, Arsenal is in a crisis of results, whether some want to admit it or not. Arteta has to pull his players from this hole because they have a pretty busy schedule coming their way.
Believe it or not, Arsenal has just one win in the last five outings across all the competitions, which was against Preston in the EFL Cup. In three of those games where they haven’t triumphed, the Gunners failed to score.
Once again, this is a huge game for the guests, who have plenty at stake. Another loss would push them out of the title race, at least for the moment. And you all know how hard it is to get back in the saddle in the EPL after losing pace.
Chelsea: Sanchez; James, Fofana, Colwill, Gusto; Caicedo, Lavia; Madueke, Palmer, Neto; Jackson
Arsenal: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber; Merino, Partey, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Martinelli
The two London teams played twice last season. The first meeting was at Stamford, where we saw no winners 2-2. However, in the second, Arsenal humiliated Chelsea, 5-0. It was the fourth time in the previous five direct encounters to see over 2.5 goals.
The Blues will be extra-motivated to beat the Gunners due to that disastrous loss. Honestly, they look better than their rivals, who are on the decline. We will take some risk here and pick the hosts to triumph because that pick definitely has value.
Our verdict: Chelsea wins
