Prediction, Odds & Betting tips for Inter Milan vs. Juventus at Serie A
For many, this is the biggest Italian derby. These two clubs have a great rivalry, but unlike in the past, this game won’t decide trophies or impact the title race. It has a certain significance, though, as Inter tries to secure its UEFA Champions League, while Juventus wants to reach at least the Europa League. The Old Lady would have been among the top four teams, yet a 15-point deduction pulled back the team from Turin.
Inter Milan
Inter is second in the standings but needs to keep on winning to stay among the top four because Roma, who is fifth, has only three points fewer. Two defeats in the past three rounds were the reason for such a situation, with the latest coming last weekend, to Spezia, 2-1.
We saw Nerazzurri losing in Bologna the week before, 1-0, and overall, they have been playing rather mediocre on the road lately. Why is that, we don’t quite know, but the difference in performances at and away from Meazza is obvious.
When playing in front of their fans, Inter is highly confident and currently has five consecutive wins, 13 in the recent 14 contests. In a vast majority of them, Inzaghi’s unit didn’t allow a single goal.
Juventus
The Old Lady is experiencing a very strange season. There are a lot of problems inside the organization, starting with the point deduction, then all the issues within the management, and the other situations with the players.
Yet Juve is still in contention for at least a trophy, if not more, and they’ve recently begun playing well. We’ve seen them win eight times in the past ten games, with one loss and one draw.
Vlahovic and the boys haven’t been particularly confident on the road, this year, triumphing in six of their 12 Serie A outings. Juventus had two draws and four losses, with a goal difference of 11 scored and 10 allowed.
Inter Milan: Onana; De Vrij, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Martinez, Dzeko
Juventus: Perin; Bremer, Bonucci, Danilo; Cuadrado, Fagioli, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Miretti; Vlahovic
Juventus hosted Inter in the first encounter of the season and beat the big rival 2-0 at home. Rabiot was the scorer of the opening goal, 1-0, and after that, Fagioli closed the event with a score six minutes before the end of the regulations. Filip Kostic assisted for both goals.
The rivalry between these two units is intense, and this should be a fun game to see. With the way Inter and Juve play in recent times, due to their solid form, our pick here is for both teams to score.
Our verdict: Both teams to score
