Prediction, Odds & Betting Tips for Luton vs. Manchester City at English Premier League
The newcomers in the league host the Treble winners and one of the best teams in the past decades. It couldn’t be a better day for Luton fans as they have the honor of seeing their favorites play against Man City. Everyone knows who is the favorite here, but the Hatters hope to create a sensation and record a win that will stay forever written in their history.
Luton
The Hatters battle to stay in the Premiership, and we can say that Everton’s fine and a 10-point deduction improved their chances. Though, the team from Luton needs to play much better, particularly on the road, in order to stay in the top tier of English football.
Luton’s defense isn’t that bad, but on the other hand, the offense did underachieve so far, with only 13 goals after 14 rounds. At the time of writing, it was the second-worst in the league, which is a big problem.
As earlier stated, their performances are much better than those on the road, and the majority of points Hatters won this season were at Kenilworth Road.
Manchester City
City was definitely robbed by the controversial decision of the officials when they stopped what was a golden opportunity for scoring. To be honest, we haven’t seen such a poor decision in a while, and whoever is in charge of the officiating in the FA needs to react.
Other than that, City plays solid football, and even though Tottenham slipped away at the Etihad, the champs look confident and have everything under control.
Despite them losing the top spot in the standings last weekend, Guardiola’s machinery is still, by far, the biggest favorite for winning the Premiership. According to the odds, Liverpool is the only team that is anywhere near the Citizens, but they are also miles away from the reigning champs.
Luton Town: Kaminski; Osho, Mengi, Bell; Kabore, Mpanzu, Barkley, Giles; Townsend, Brown, Ogbene
Manchester City: Ederson; Walker, Dias, Ake; Akanji, Rodri; Foden, Alvarez, Bernardo, Doku; Haaland

The last time City and Luton played was 24 years ago in League One. The game at Kenilworth ended 1-1, while City triumphed 2-0 at Maine Road. Their previous contest in the Premier League was in the 1991/92 season. Again, there was a draw in Luton, 2-2, and City won at home, 4-0.
The champs are a team at least two classes above Luton, and we don’t mean to disrespect anyone from Kenilworth. We expect the guests to triumph here, mainly because they didn’t defeat Tottenham last Sunday. Guardiola’s crew will be motivated to bounce back quickly and confidently.
Our verdict: Man City wins
