Prediction, Odds & Betting Tips for Manchester City vs. Arsenal at English Premier League
On This Page
Etihad Stadium hosts the most anticipated fixture of the Premier League season this Sunday. Arsenal has 70 points and travels to face Manchester City, which has 6 fewer points. But the Citizens hold a game in hand, making this possibly a title-deciding matchup. If they win, everything changes in their favor. While Arteta’s boys seem lost and pretty unstable, City’s form is rising.

Manchester City
Pep Guardiola’s side is once again catching its best form in the finish of the season. We’ve seen this so many times in the past, and usually, City wins the title during this period.
City has three wins in a row, not allowing a single goal while scoring 9 on the other side. And do know that their rivals were Arsenal in the EFL Cup finals, 2-0, then Liverpool in the FA Cup, 4-0, and most recently Chelsea, 0-3 on the road.
Nico O’Reilly is Guardiola’s latest product, and the young defender’s contribution has been fantastic. He even scored a goal against the Blues and had an assist vs. Liverpool. You have to know that nobody expected this youngster to step up this big.
Arsenal
Arsenal still sits top of the table, but the momentum is heavily against them right now. Three defeats in the past 4 appearances, with the latest being at home to Bournemouth, 1-2, broke the Gunners’ morale.
Mikel Arteta is facing a nightmare injury crisis at the worst possible moment. Several players are out or aren’t 100% fit, like Saka, Odegaard and Saliba, and that takes a toll on Arsenal’s performances.
Plus, Arsenal had a game during midweek, a Champions League rematch vs. Sporting, which undoubtedly took some energy from the players.
Manchester City: Donnarumma; Nunes, Khusanov, Guehi, O’Reilly; Silva, Rodri; Semenyo, Cherki, Doku; Haaland
Arsenal: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Hincapie; Norgaard, Rice; Madueke, Eze, Trossard; Gyokeres
The first EPL fixture of the year saw a tie, 1-1, but the EFL Cup finals from three weeks ago ended with City’s 0-2 win. Guardiola’s team dominated that event, taking the trophy and gaining the psychological high ground over Arsenal.
Also, we need to say that City didn’t lose to Arsenal at home in the previous 11 consecutive games.
Arsenal is not in a good place, while City plays excellent football. Guardiola knows how to win games like these, while we can’t say that for Arteta and his team. The bottom line is that City’s form is way better now, and additionally, they have the home-court edge. So, our final bet here is Manchester City to win.
Our verdict: Manchester City
