An interesting piece of data is that Man City conceded in each of its last six games, which suggests there are some glitches in the back like. This has been a problem for quite some time, and Guardiola still didn’t solve them.

City won the previous five games at home and played eight in a row without a loss, posting seven triumphs during that span and one draw.

Newcastle

The Magpies had a chance to win a trophy after half a century and failed to do so. The finals against Manchester United ended 0-2 for the Red Devils, and we may say that it came at the worst possible moment for Eddie Howe and the boys.

That was only because Newcaslte’s form significantly dropped compared to the previous part of the campaign. A thinner roster is the main problem here because Howe doesn’t really have too many options on his bench.
