For one moment in the first half, Chelsea looked like the team that could compete with Newcastle. Though, as soon as the guests from London leveled the score, Newcastle shifted into a higher gear, leaving the rivals in the dust and producing one fantastic result, 4-1.

Over the past ten games at home across all the competitions, Newcastle has only two losses and eight victories. The majority of the triumphs (five) were posted along with a clean sheet.

This was United’s second victory in a row and the third match in the past four without a goal allowed. Erik Ten Hag’s unit currently has three consecutive Premiership triumphs, significantly improving their position in the standings. 

As you can guess, the stability of the back line is the key contributor to success. United struggled with chemistry in defense, and it’s no secret that the rise came when Maguire returned to the lineup.
