Prediction, Odds & Betting Tips for Tottenham vs. Manchester United at English Premier League
The battle of two fallen giants takes place this Sunday afternoon in London. Tottenham and Manchester United battle not only for three points but for a better tomorrow and improved morale. So far, these two teams experienced plenty of problems and are trying to get out of the hole.
Tottenham
The Spurs are 14th in the Premier League standings, with only 10 points more than the teams trying to stay in the top flight of English football. Now, that’s not good info for any fan, as they hoped to see their favorites battling for the top of the table.
Only one of Tottenham’s last eight games didn’t end with over 2.5 goals, and during that span, six events ended with both teams netting. It’s safe to say that the Spurs’ events are always efficient.
Ange Postecoglou’s unit hasn’t played particularly well at home since the start of the new calendar year. They have had two losses and two wins ever since, and in the past ten meetings at Tottenham Stadium, they have had three triumphs.
Manchester United
The Red Devils are one place above the Spurs and two points ahead, but that’s not too great of a consolation for their fans. Ruben Amorim’s tenure didn’t start well at all, and he, too, is under tremendous pressure right after taking over the managerial duties.
Though Manchester has had four wins in the past five appearances, most of them weren’t in the EPL but in the Europa League or the FA Cup. United’s previous Premier League contest was at home against Crystal Palace and ended 0-2 for the Eagles.
In four of the past five games, this team had ended with 2 or 3 goals, meaning moderate efficiency. By the way, United didn’t lose in the previous five outings.
Tottenham: Vicario; Porro, Danso, Davies, Spence; Bissouma, Bentancur, Johnson; Kulusevski, Bailey, Son
Manchester United: Onana; Mazraoui, Maguire, De Ligt; Dalot, Ugarte, Mainoo, Dorgu; Amad, Hojlund, Fernandes
Tottenham beat Manchester United on both occasions this year. The first was 0-3 at the Old Trafford back in late September, and the second two months ago in the EFL Cup, 4-3.
The Spurs have nothing to lose anymore, so they will be aggressive and try to take all three points. United’s form is solid, yet they have plenty of oscillations, especially in the back line, which is too unstable. All in all, the best thing here is to bet on over 2.5 goals because both teams score and concede frequently. It is very ungrateful to bet on the full-time result because this game could go either way.
Our verdict: Over 2.5 goals
