Topuria has a cannon in his fists, and we have seen that in the past. Yet, he is very adaptable on the mat, and like any fighter coming from the Caucasus region, he is a fantastic wrestler.

Do Bronx (35-10, 31 finishes) has 20 finishes in the UFC and holds the absolute record in that category. His most recent fight was against Michael Chandler, whom he defeated via unanimous decision in five rounds, Many weren’t pleased with the way Oliveira fought in that one, but he showed that he still had enough gas in his tank, despite his, let’s say, mediocre rival at the time.

Before that, he lost to Arman Tsarukyan, controversially via split decision in a match where Tsarukyan managed to slip from his shorts and get away from what seemed to be a certain submission.

From this point of view, him being a massive underdog here isn’t reasonable at all, and I wouldn’t think that the oddsmakers did their job correctly (no matter how that looks crazy). After all, this guy has a five-inch reach advantage over Topuria, who is quicker, but still. The experience is something on Oliveira’s side.
